WHO IS "GRANDPA"?
My name is Gary Draheim. My roots are in a small farming community in Central Wisconsin. I grew up doing chores ,running in the woods, all the things you do when you grow up "country". But my favorite spot always was by the creek . Catching frogs, chasing snakes and skipping stones were among the things I enjoyed as a child. I always had my pockets full of whatever I found interesting and it usually was a bunch of the prettiest stones I could find. So it's not surprising to me, that I find myself back at the creek in my later years. It's peaceful and a place of reflection as I look at my life, then and now.
Now approaching 60 years of age, I am brother, cousin, uncle, husband, father, and for now Grandpa! I hope I'm fortunate enough to make it to Great-Grandpa but if not, I am making some memories for those whom I may not meet. While doing this my sincere desire is to inform some, encourage others, and to entertain all.
I am so glad you happened upon this website. It's purposes are many-fold. To promote gold fever as a healthy infection one can learn to live with. To promote the fact that nothing is so serious that you can't find something positive in it. But most of all, I want to promote what this world needs to be successful and that is the "LOVE OF FAMILY" to create a strong America.
May you have "color" in your pan, but most of all
the "love of family" in your life.
